Fat MD: One Doctor's Journey to a Healthy Weight Part IX

I'm making some great strides. I can actually feel that my body has lost weight.  My pants fit better, and I have taken my belt in one notch.  I'm excited about this, and encouraged to go the distance, but I also have a confession...

I did not mention this at the onset of the series, but the major reason why I decided to start loosing weight was because I was worried that I might be starting to develop sleep apnea.

Why is it that I was willing to discuss other aspects of being overweight, but afraid to talk about my fears of developing sleep apnea?  When it comes to our weight, we all carry some sort of emotional baggage, by breaking through these barriers it is easier to make change.
