Fat MD: One Doctor's Journey to a Healthy Weight Part IV
In my fourth vlog, I get advice from my children about what I can do to stay healthy. They advised exercise, getting rid of junk food, avoiding calories from drinks (unless it is a special occasion), and getting regular checkups.
In my earlier vlog, I discussed how I am not ready to commit to exercising on a regular basis (though I know it would help with weight loss, and help my general health in a lot of ways). After talking to my kids, I have updated my overall weight loss strategy:
1.) Don't skip meals (this slows down the metabolism)
2.) Eat more fruits and vegetables (10 servings a day promotes weight loss)
3.) No drinks with calories (drinks with calories quickly get turned into fat)
4.) Say no to all junk food
5.) Weigh myself on a regular basis
