Samsung, the mega-electronic giant doesnt need an introduction. The Apple nemesis has been dominating the electronic market since forever. Their tech include vast range of electronic products, from TVs to AC, and cooking appliances to washing machines, but their most prized possessions are their mobile devices. Samsungs journey as a smartphone distributor has come a long way. Their most selling mobile device brand is an android based phone, called Galaxy Series. Samsungs galaxy series started in March 2010, with their release of the first ever Samsung Galaxy S. It was the birth of what is now hail as the most iconic phone series ever created. For a smartphone that launched in 2010, 9 years ago, Samsung Galaxy S was a solid phone. It was the first solid-made Samsung phone that managed to be sold in a substantial large quantities. It was a four inch phone, with four GB ram and a decent camera of 4 mega pixel. After the success of Galaxy S, the successor came in February 2011. The Samsung galaxy S II was launched at MWC (Mobile World Congress). Rocking a 4.3 inch display, galaxy s II had an 8 mega pixel camera, situated at the rear end. The phone had android 2.3 gingerbread with the feature of NFC, the first of its kind on a mobile device.

Then came the Samsung Galaxy S III. It was launched in 2012. Samsung was quickly getting confident with their innovations and competition. Samsung introduced S voice (a personal assistant) to rival Siri, which is an intelligent personal assistant in IPhone, Samsungs rival. Galaxy S III had increased to 4.8 inches, with an increased resolution of 720p.

In 2013, we were introduced to Samsung Galaxy S4. It was a 5 inch phone with 13 mega-pixel camera. Galaxy S4 hosted a whole range of added softwares, including Smart Rotation, Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, Air Gesture, Air View etc. Samsung was adding whatever it could think of, exploring their innovative side.

Next came Galaxy S5. Launched merely 5 years ago in 2014, Samsung Galaxy S6 was a subtle upgrade from S4. The screen grew to be 5.1 inches this time. There was a 16 mega pixel camera around its back, with Android 5 Lollipop as the OS. Moreover, it was the first time that Samsung introduced IP67 water and dust resistance and it came with a finger print scanner.

2015 brought Samsung Galaxy S6. You might remember this phone, as it was the first to launch with Edge model alongside it. Galaxy S6 and S6 edge came with a 5.1 inch screen, having a 16 mega pixel camera. It remains one of the best Galaxy phones ever made.

Following S6, Samsung Galaxy S7 launched 2 years ago. The 5.1 inch S7 and 5.5 inch S7 edge rocked the market of smartphones. With 12 mega pixel cameras as the show-stoppers, Samsung declared its rule on the Android market, making Apple its official rival.

The next thing Samsung introduced was the Bezel concept with its Samsung Galaxy S8. Galaxy S8, was a 5.8 inch device with 12 mega pixel camera, the only place where Samsung didnt upgrade from the previous year. Last year, we were introduced to Samsung Galaxy S9. It was a 5.8 inch phone that came with a larger 6.2 inch Galaxy S9 Plus. The bezels on this phone are more refined, having an upgraded camera.

This year, Samsung released S10 and S10+ models. Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Galaxy S series, S10 has Amoled display, having two cameras, one 12 mega pixels and another 16 mega pixels wider angle camera.

With the immense success of Galaxy S series, Samsung has crowned itself as the leading Android distributor of the world, and Samsung shows no sign of giving up in its battle with Apple. Considering the yearly tradition of Samsung releases, we are expected to see Samsung drop Galaxy S11 in near future, probably in the start of year 2020. There have been many rumors and talk about the new features of the galaxy S11. Better screens, better battery, better camera and what not.
