Yeast infection in dog

Dr Wilson, Our 7 yr old Scottish Terrier has a Yeast infection on his chest, neck, front legs, and on paws. I can smell the yeast on him. We have tried Derma-IonX over and over and over for 9 months and no results. He eats a raw diet and we add some organic green beens to his meal for one feeding, and then we add some organic peas for the 2nd feeding. We have tried Coconut Oil on his skin but the fungus is still their. We hate to see him suffer with itching and scratching and the smell. Tonight I tried mixing Apple Cider Vinegar with water in a small spray bottle and sprayed his neck and chest. You can really smell the ACV in the mixture and I need to know if that will work as well as the coconut oil. What is the best way to get rid of the yeast and fungus on his chest and front legs and front paws and on his neck? The yeast seems to be attracted to and feed off of a warm area on his skin. From his tummy down to his tail there is no visible fungus or yeast, only on his chest, neck, and front legs and paws. We hate to witness the irritation it gives him and we do not trust any more Western Medicine Vets as all they do is give Antibiotics which I understand feeds the Yeast, and they want to give Steroid shots and we are against that as both cause side affects and that is not good. I am also starting to add 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in his water each day to try and heal him from the inside out, and spray some ACV on his affected areas topically as well. Can you suggest anything else at this time and are we doing everything right so far? If one method does not work we do research and try another until we solve the problem. Please let us know what you suggest as well. We also give him a ProBiotic each day to chew on ( by Vetionx) and we also give him 2 ozs of Goats Milk by a company called "Answers". We have also tried a Kangaroo + Lentil kibble last week. This was suggested by a Dog dermatologist. They told us to give him this kibble only for 90 days and don't give him anything else but we have not started that feeding program as of yet. I am also told that mixing 50% water and 50% white vinegar will help get rid of yeast and you can apply it topically. Please let me know what you suggest as we are beside ourselves and want to give our Scottish Terrier the best options possible as he is like a little boy to us and we love him so much. Thank You, Rick and Arlene (my Mom)

My dog has either a yeast or bacterial infection in their skin

My rough coat collie broke out all over his body with red swollen crusty patches. He was put on cephlaxin to help for two weeks. Vet wants to keep him on for another 2 weeks but I don't want to continue with antibiotics. They did skin samples, and it was not a fungus. It is either yeast or bacterial they said. It is getting better but hair is dry and his skin is scaly. I am interested in your product and your thoughts about Wallace's condition. He is a beautiful rough coat collie and very sensitive to meds. Thanks Francie

My dogs ears are smelly

Hi, we have a 10 year old female yellow lab and for pretty much all her life. She  does not like us lifting her ear flap or basically doing anything with her ears. I know there is a lot of product out there to help clean them for dogs that let you touch their ears or put something in their ears, but can you suggest any product that she can take orally that will help with her ears. (Being a lab no problem giving her stuff orally!) I have switched her to a grain free food and the redness in her ears has cleared up, but they still smell and she shakes her head a lot. I read that we could put olive oil in her ear, but she just goes absolutely nuts when you do anything to her ears. Thanks for your help! I have been using Arthro-IonX for a few years now for her and it has helped her tremendously with her hind leg since she hurt it. We avoided having to go through the trauma and high expense of an operation on her just from using this miracle product! Thank you! -Diane-

Dachshund has Bacterial Yeast Infection

My vet said my dachshund has a bacterial yeast problem because of the elephant skin under her arms and patches where skin is coming off in hairy patches. I've tried changing her diet to grainfree and medicated shampoo from the vet plus medication. Would you recommend your shampoo for her? I already use the Arthro-IonX for our dog with hip problems and it is doing wonders. Thank you for your input and anything you could recommend. -Phyllis-

My dog is suffering from Candida Yeast (leaky Gut)

I have a 5 yr. old mixed breed (Rott & Pit) dog named Bsloo. We have had him to 3 vets within the last year. It started out (as we were told) was Allergies so they gave him steroid shots and antihisatime pills (10 mg) a day twice a day. He looked like someone had poured instant mashed poatoes all over his back) with a foul odor (like stinky feet) and brown like wax in his ears. I was told by another vet that he had Mange so we ordered a Sulfur Shampoo and the dandruff has never returned. Cleared right up. Now we are being told by aother vet that he has Candida Yeast (Leaky Gut). We have started him on a Holastic Food within the last week. He itches all the time and still smells. We are at a loss of words and not to mention $ $ but what can we do for him for the hot spots, the itchness and the foul odor. Rosemary

Our dog has a yeast infection and a reoccurring UTI

First, thank you so much for Arthro-IonX as it made Cassi whole again. Torn ACL, vet said she was not a surgical candidate due to her size (140 lb Newfoundland) and previous problems with anesthesia. Cassi could not walk but until after several weeks using your Orthro-Ionx she was up and outside! So, I now turn to you agin with recurrent yeast infections unresolved for several years and now worse than ever. Since moving to Florida, Cassi has had problems with recurrent yeast infections on paws, face, eyes, neck and ears and then developing UTI with yeast. She has been on ketoconazole for 1 month on 2 weeks off for approx 2 years until she started vomiting, not eating and listless. Vet took her off that med and started fluconozole instead, no results. Approx 3 months ago started amoxicillin with just 5 days of ketaconazole. Skin improved but problems resurfaced several weeks after antibiotics stopped. then gave her what vet called "big gun antibiotic" injection which cost $172.00 for just the injection, total office visit was close to $300, also a prescription again for amoxicillin. After several weeks resurfaced so refill of amoxicillin which again did not do anything this time. Just Monday did UA C&S and started Bactrim for UTI, again fluconazole for skin issues, and will call me in 7 days with C&S results to see if antibiotics need to be changed. I am truly sick over what Cassi is going through for several years with no results. Her problems surface in spring thru summer and are better during the winter months. She eats mostly our grass raised beef and chicken and turkey that I cook with a small amount of dog food. Vet whiched us to several dog foods that they carried but other than $80 a bag, they did not work. We keep her shaved and bath as vet prescribed once weekly with Zymox shampoo and selsun blue.Is Cassi too sick for your Derma-Ionx? I would appreciate your recommendations. Thank you.

Dog has yeast in between toes and pads

My dog has yeast in between her toes and pads. Nothing that the vet has prescribed seems to help. She is currently on an anti-fingal and a doggie benedryl. I am wondering if Derma-IonX is a good relief for her feet, while we are trying to figure out what she is allergic to?

My dog has chronic skin yeast infection

Hello, our 12 year of Malamute/Boxer mix has a lot of skin issues. She has re-occurring bacterial and yeast skin infections and has been on several rounds of antibiotics and anti yeast medications over the last couple of years. But the medications make her drink and pee a lot. And I mean a lot. I have to let out several times during night. recently she is limping heavily and the stairs are becoming more and more difficult to climb for her. There is something growing in her paw that puffs up, will then bleed and ooze and then become smaller again. Anyway, I am giving her now Derma-IonX twice a day and spray all the spots with the yeast infections on her body. She loses the fur their and the skin turns dark so there are easy to spot. Is Derma-IonX suggested to treat yeast? Do you have any other ideas or suggestions? Thank you, Rashke

Yeast Infection

Our dog has been using your product now for 2 weeks, but has a very bad odor now on the skin, I was advise by the CS rep it may be a yeast infection. I would like to know your thoughts on this and what kind of food should we feed him since he does seem to have a skin problem and now possible a yeast infection. We currently feed him Canidae Life Stages they have a grain free as well. Is that for him to eat? Do you have any other suggestions? I will follow up with a vet for the yeast issue if you believe this could be it. I also wanted to make sure the Derma-IonX has nothing to do with the yeast problem because there was not odor until we started using this product just the skin redness and itching were there. THANKS
