Cat anxiety???

Dear Char, my cat Jelly has been having chronic ear infections from scratching a lot. She has had steroid injection x1, and eardrops from the vet. She is on her second type of drops. She also had oral ABX [amox]. Finally the vet took a culture and said she would call me back this week-have not heard back. She also chews at her left front forefoot. The vet did not mention possible anxiety issue. My colleague said her friends cat had this same issue. They gave her medication to calm her and other adjunct therapy. Please advise. One change I made was keeping her out of my bedroom because she was shedding too much. I took care of the shedding by transitioning her over to Avoderm food and her coat is so soft and healthy now. I am going to re-introduce her to my bedroom again. This may be the main issue. PS we have a dog-she tolerates, but I know she would like to get her own spot again. Help?
