Treating dog for skin eruptions

Please contact me by email and/or phone ASAP. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. My border collie developed IMHA (HEMOLYTIC ANEMIA IN JULY 2014) AND has been given steroids (Prednisone) to stabilize her Packed Cell volume which is at 42% now and acceptable level. But the emergency Vet told me yesterday, 12-10-14, that the Prednisone very likely caused the development of the calcinosis cutis skin eruptions on my dog's shoulders and on a small portion on top of her hips. The veterinary emergency doctor told me to use only 5 mg of Prednisone every other day for 6 days and then stop, and in place of the prednisone, I was told to start my dog on oral 100 mg. of ATOPICA, which I started today. And the doctor also said I could have a biopsy done on the skin eruptions and/or start using DMSO gel topically. I saw your Derma-IonX advertised, and am asking you if Derma-IonX has been used sucessfully to treat calcinosis cutis skin eruptions on any dogs? DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR TREATMENT? Is the Defendex shampoo helpful also? I am seeking the safest most effective treatment protocols for my dog's problems. Please respond now. AGAIN, THANK YOU.
