Urban Exchange consignment offers a great spin on what to wear while shopping at your local Farmer’s Market! Consider this charming outfit for your excursion at the market.

Summer Time :: Farmers Market

What I love about this beautiful turquoise dress with the vintage flair in the design, by Boden, is the ease of slipping it on and heading out. Dresses are a huge staple in my closet because, when I am having a day of “I have nothing to wear” mode, a dress is an easy go-to. Simply pull it on and add accessories, BOOM ~ DONE!

The jewelry in this outfit is dynamic! The red necklace, paired with the rope necklace (notice the silver feather dangling from the rope?), and the long simple beaded necklace makes this Farmers Market outfit adorable!

Don’t forget about the bag! We are shopping and will need a place to hold our small goodies that we purchase. This bag from Banana Republic, is a beautiful brown leather that can play as a crossbody, be carried by the clutch handles, or small strap. For the Farmer’s Market this bag is a must have! Of course, a recyclable tote will be needed for the bigger purchases.

The adorable red Mary Jane shoes, by Bernie Mev, ties the red necklace in nicely. I love these shoes, because they are made for shopping (I mean, walking).

Finally, when shopping outdoors, one must not forget sunscreen or a hat! This cute neutral colored hat, by Old Navy, helps shade your eyes from the sun! Wear your hair in braids, side pony, or stuff it under the hat, you can’t go wrong with this delightful final piece.

When shopping at the Farmers Market, think ease, movement, and light. Although you may be more inclined to throw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, who says you can’t glam it up just a bit to shop for those organic fruits and veggies? You will be turning heads with this look!

  • such a cute dress! I guess I wouldn't think about wearing it out on a weekend because it would seem too dressy compared to a pair of shorts and a shirt. But it is adorable.

  • But that is the idea, stepping out of your comfort zone, why not put on a dress vs. shorts/top. :-)
