ADD / ADHD vs. Guilt Driven Anxiety and Depression

Does Synaptol alleviate chronic anxiety, fear, insomnia, poor concentration, lethary and inattention if taken concurrently with an MOAI like Seratonin Re-uptake Inhibitor like SERZONE and TRANXENE? I take 150 mg. and 7.5 mg respectively each night. I believe I was likely misdiagnosed in 1987 as having "Obsessive, compulsive, perfectionistic personality traits along with chronic guilt, low self-esteem and a lack of a sustaining connection with God. I was convinced I had ADD at the time (from kindergarten through high school and all my life), but my psychiatrist back then insisted the treatment for HIS diagnosis was different, i.e. taking the MOAI and anxiety meds. I turned 60 recently, have been unemployed for 22 months and am terrified of setting myself up for failure once more, so having a tough time finding work. I saw a Psychologist last week and he thinks I have ADD or ADHD. I've read the book "Driven to Distraction" by Edward M. Hallowell, M.D. and John J. Ratey, M.D., and I can virtually relate to 90% of the symptoms case studies presented. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Trish O.

Synaptol ADHD Narural medicine

My son has ADHD and is taking concerta prescription medication but have been concerned about his health he has loss of appetite, been complaining of headaches i have mentioned this to his paediatrician but she said to take him off the medication i took him off the medication cause i was concerned for my sons health and the long term affects of prescription medication. I noticed that my son is much happier now eats alot better and doesnt get headaches he also sleeps better. unfortunately there have been some concerns at his school with other children my son was alot quieter and when he was the prescription medication and was doing well at school he had an incident with a boy at school who physically hurt my son after that incident the principal mentioned about my son taking the concerta medication again and i told her my husband and i werent happy with our son taking the medication it was affecting his health we are concerned for out son he wasnt eating and getting headaches, we dont want our son to be taking prescription drugs for rest of his life. The principal wasnt very pleased with what i said but thats her problem its the schools responsibity to offer more support for children who have special needs. I was also concerned about the long term effects as my son was taking concerta medication for long time since the age of 6. I have read some reviews about Synaptol ADHD Natural medicine and think its a very effective natural medicine and relief symptom for children with ADHD. How do i order the Synaptol medication i noticed a contact number for Hellolife in USA and an International number may i ask do you have a contact number in Australia? I would like to have a chat and am interested in learning more about synaptol medication and to find how to order it or get it shipped out. from mary dellas

ADD/ADHD

I was dx. at age 60 (4yrs. ago) with ADD. I have taken Adderall XR all this time -except for 3 months to try Vyvance, which didn't help at all. I've gradually worked my way up to 45 mg of Adderall XR per day. I see my psychiatrist every 3 months and I have told him I feel my symptoms have become worse -especially with impulsiveness and distraction. He will increase the Adderall XR and outside of the Vyvance that is the only medication I've been offerred to get this under control. I would like to stop the Adderall XR and take the homeopathic medication this website recommends. Would I take it as the label instructs? -and should I start taking it before I phase out the Adderall? The self test offerred here showed I had ADHD symptoms. By outward appearances I am laid-back and slow moving without any signs of restlessness, but inside my mind can go faster than I can keep up with it! I can get coated over with "parallysis of will" and simply daydream away what needs to be done to be organized at home. I work 2 jobs in pediatric skilled home health nursing. I do use a planner with my work and force myself to complete my paperwork on time. My planner keeps me in line with being organized and prepared and a 'time- timer' has helped with time management issues. I have no routine at home and have no idea how to make a routine for getting my home organized, or my bills straight, or how to let go of un-necessary things that I have in 2 storage units and also taking up one room in my apartment after a divorce 3 yrs ago. At this rate my goal could include a 'mini-series' on Hoarders by next year! I didn't intend to put so much about myself into this message, but after reading so many positive results from others and relating so well to the articles I've read, I've realized I could have learned more about my symptoms and felt grounded and supported in a group setting to discover ways to face my symptoms and gain control of them, instead of avoiding them and allowing them to take control of me. I will appreciate any suggestions, advice, and/or steps to get organized, start the healthier homeopathic med, and begin living a healthier life and happier lifestyle!

Anxietin and Synaptol

I have been taking Synaptol for 2 months and I am pleased with the results. It addresses my ADD symptoms very well. I also have anxiety symptoms, as is common with ADD. Might it be beneficial, and is it safe, to take Synaptol and Anxietin together?

Struggling here!

I am a mom who was formally diagnosed with ADHD 13 years ago. I was on stimulants until 3 years ago when I decided to go more natural. I homeschool a child who also exhibits ADHD tendencies. I have on and off toyed with the idea of getting back on Adderall but I keep canceling my appointment thinking to try something else. I don't want to get back on the Adderall but I'm drowning over here. There is so much "noise" in my head and I feel like I was a better mom on it but I just have read too many bad side effects. So much that we are not putting our 6 yo on anything but are doing the GF/CF diet (I'm on it as well) and detoxing her system. I need a natural something that works on adults because I really am in trouble. The homeopaths we have given our six year old don't work for me. Does anyone know of a natural solution for adults! Please help. There has to be something I can do without going back on a prescription. Thanks!

Need some help with my daughter :(

I have went to doctors before we left El paso, Texas, and he diagnosed her with ADD but my husband and i do not want her to be on medication. We dont believe in that part. So i ordered the Synaptol today and when i receive it will give it a few weeks to see if it takes effect. She has a rough time reading and that is hindering her spellling at school. I have come to my wits end. I want to do more to help her but sometimes i am just stuck. I dont want her to be on medication because of all the side effects. She is a healthy 8 yrs old and i want her to stay that way. If there is ways i change by cooking her different food that help stimulate the mind or other things please feel free to write. I like all the advice i can get while my husband is deployed to Afghanistan. Thank you for reading this.

Sudden Extreme High Anxiety

Help! I don't want to live on benzos, but get so sketched that I can't even leave my house. I'm living a very depressed lifestyle-not good. Much of this has to do with the fact that Im mentally & physically disabled. This is especially difficult when I've been diagnosed bi-polar, yet every anti-depressant and / or mood stabilizer that I've taken ( over the past 30 yrs.- I am currently 53), has either not worked, didn't work & had weird side effects or worked for what seemed to be awhile & then pretty much wore off & I was right back to where I started from - stuck, dismayed & floating in a "black hole void". I'm wondering if I might possibly be ADD & was never properly diagnosed. Is there a difinitive test for Adult ADD & if so, please let me know what your thoughts are either way. Thank you!

combining synaptol with Vyvanse

My son is 16 and a jr in highschool.  He was diagnosed with adhd in 1st grade.  I have always been sad that I have to give him his stimulants in order for him to succeed in school.  I am excited to try Synaptol.  My question is: Can I combine Synaptol with the Vyvanse?  It is scary to take him off the meds since his grades plummet.  How can I know if synaptol works>  Will it start to work immediately like the stimulants or does it need time to get into his system.  If it works I will gladly take him off the stimulants!  The concern is that he can not risk a trial period acedemically. Thanks for your advice in advance. Julie

Comorbidity?

For the last few years, I've always thought that maybe my symptoms were associated with clinical depression and some sort of anxiety disorder. Now I'm thinking that perhaps I may actually have ADD/ADHD, since the symptoms I've been experiencing fit so smoothly. I've always been very obnoxious in class, though once I realize I've shouted out my opinion I get rather embarrassed and tell myself I won't do it again... Then I do. I'm always losing and forgetting things, and my room's a downright disaster zone. My teachers don't really treat me any differently than the other kids, mainly because I usually can do well enough on my own, and my mother just thinks I'm either lazy or something similar. I always feel like there's something bothering me, and often times there is, even if it's something considered "small." When I was younger, I used to have fits of anger/frustration over something as simple as not finding my pencil, and as I grew older I suppose these outward impulses became more introverted, probably explaining why I constantly blame myself for everything and have attempted suicide several times due to not being happy with myself. My question is... Is it possible to have both ADD/ADHD, severe depression, and anxiety at the same time? If so, how can I get help for not just one, but all of these? I've been through CBT and have a therapist and medication... But there are days when that's just not enough.

Aperger's Disorder Vs. ADHD

I have a much younger 15 year old sister who was just recently, diagnosed with a type of Asperger’s disorder. Though she is exceptionally bright and passes most of her tests with 100%, she has almost always had a lot of trouble at school - completing assignments and staying organized. She has also unfortunately almost always had trouble with her peers teasing her, and unusual complaints about sounds that don’t’ bother most people. Before that she had been diagnosed with ADHD – which I now believe was a misdiagnosis of the symptoms she was experiencing so many years ago and also the reason it took so long to find out what her real condition was. How common is it for the two conditions to be confused and what are the differences between them? I also suffer from some of the same symptoms as my sister and was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age. Is there a genetic to component to Asperger’s? Should I be concerned for my daughter?
