My 10yr old Cocker has bad gums. Her Vet wants to clean her teeth, but the cost is $350 and up. I was wondering is I could put some drops of Hydrogen Peroxide on a piece of gauge and rube her gums to try and clean them and any infection there might be.

Cat has ongoing aggression after a fight & upcoming transition

Looking for a little direction with our 9 y/o female kitty, Nermal. We took her to the vet to get a sudden limp checked out a little over a month ago. X-rays showed arthritis and mineral deposits in her hind leg joints. She is only 9, but the vet suggested obesity could be a factor in the developing arthritis. Since bringing her home we gave her the pain medication supplied by the vet for the first week (until it ran out) and have been giving her glucosamine supplied by the vet with her food daily and restricted her from jumping up on things -the limp is much less noticeable now. However, a couple of weeks after coming home there was a fight that took place when we weren't around between her and our two male, younger kitties. Based on the cleanup it was a pretty bad fight and even though the boys sustained minor injuries and she wasn't injured that we could see, she has remained angry and defensive towards them and we have to keep them separated when we aren't home/around. She hisses at them every time they come nearby and if they attempt to touch noses with or sniff her, she either hisses or starts a fight. She is touch and go with us as well, can be very cuddly and loveable, but if we do anything she doesn't like (pick her up, make her move, or don't let her be in a space that she wants to be in), she hisses and growls at us too -which starts a fight with the other cats if they're around, as they are defensive of my husband and me. She's always been a little entitled and persnickety, but more in a loveable way and never violent or to this extreme. She's never had trouble getting along with her brothers like this either, especially for so long. It's been about 4 weeks since the fight took place. I'm starting to think there is a bigger issue than just drawn out resentment from a bad fight, but the visit to the vet just before the fight only showed the arthritis/mineral deposits. Could she be acting this way because of pain? If so, is there something we can do to help her with that? The tension between our cats is getting very difficult to manage and I feel like it's only a matter of time before one of them gets hurt more seriously (there have been scratches that come close to their eyes and I worry about Nermal's arthritis with her running up and down stairs during a fight with her arthritis). Also, we are expecting our first (human) baby in December. I'm worried about dealing with her adjustment to that while she's still so upset about this at the same time and I'm not sure how to prepare the two younger male cats for it either, who are still trying to figure the new Nermal out.

dermainox

Hello - Our cockapoo has had the skin condition where she bites, chews and scratches herself raw. We went to the vent and was given shots, pills and special shampoo, which of none has worked. I discovered this website and the Dermainox and it has been a God send. She stopped completely and have ordered several bottles but ran out in December and wanted to order more of this website but out of stock and due in January. Then I was told it would be in stock in late February or March. Now I am told April or May. In the meantime, I preordered Dermainox off Amazon and they said it would be end of February or March. Now I have received an email from a 3rd party seller from Amazon and told me that the Dermainox is defective and for me to cancel my order with Amazon, which I have done. Is this what is going on with the dermainox that is defective and that is why is taking so long to come back into stock and do have any other recommendation until the dermainox comes into stock? Thank you for your help.

cat yowling/screaming

I have 17 yr old cat who has started yowling/screaming at night, but can be anytime. We cannot sleep! And this is very disturbing in general, I don't want to have to re-home him. do you think the chill-out chews would be best, or the anxietrex? Or a combination of both? And what dosage is best? I'm assuming this problem is old-age related? thank you

Safe to use with Galliprant?

Hi, I have a 12 yr old Golden who had shoulder surgery last year and had a hip replacement (dysplasia) two years ago. Right now she is on Galliprant. Would this be safe to use with Galliprant? I also have her on a Glucosamine/MSM/Chondritin supplement. Is this needed if she's on Vetionx? Are there other suggestions you recommend as she has alot of inflammation in her shoulder. Thanks, Shauna

My dog has hip and back issues

My 7 yr. old Keeshound had an operation for cysts on his back. Shortly after that he has gone down in the back, acts like he has a cold in his nose and eyes, I have been giving him allergy and over the counter hip meds. I read on the internet about IONx for hip dysplasia. Do you think it is to late for him or should I try it. This has been going on for over 2 months. This is my last resort.
