I've been using bag blam on my dog's calluses. Not sure how long to leave blam on and off to air dry. Need lotion that is water based not like bag blam because it is greasey and gets everywhere. Any recommendations? -Mike-

Dear Mike,

You are right Bag Balm is very messy and I would not use it in the house. Besides your dog may lick it which is not a good idea. I would try coconut oil on the callus before your dog goes outside. That will allow some time for it to be absorbed. If your dog licks off the excess it will be good for your dog.

Try to figure out why your dog is getting the callus and do something to prevent it from happening. Perhaps you need to provide a softer surface for your dog to lay on.

Best regards,
