I have a 10 year old boxer, Bumper, who started to drag his hind right paw about 8 months ago. He has had tender back legs and it has been difficult for him to sit so we have had him on Metacam for several years now. He can still walk although he often looks like he is drunk – if he doesn’t wear his booties he slips and slides on the tile. He walks daily and can run so long as he uses both legs together. He is happy and looks very healthy. We had his back xrayed and they did not see any visible signs of cancer which they always suspect in boxers. they did say there may be some hidden arthritis. If this is truly a neurological disorder will the arthro-ionx help at all. We have to renew his Metcam which requires a prescription and another visit to the vet ---I just want him to feel better and enjoy his life. Will the pain medication you have do the same thing as Metacam.

You can use both Arthro-IonX and Metacam concurrently if necessary. Arthro-IonX helps to reduce pain and inflammation as well as stimulate the enzyme systems to facilitate healing. I would also give Geri-Form to improve nerve function. Your veterinarian might carry it. Please let us know how you do.
