Dear Shirley,

I would suggest you try DIA-IONX for both dogs because it helps to control the symptoms of diabetes, aids the liver, and it's therapeutic mineral base helps activate the enzyme systems in the body that help with healing. The dose I start with is a half dose twice per day on the breakfast and supper food. In addition I like to give probiotics, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9 daily. DIA-IONX will help the body better utilize the other supplements for a synergistic response. In addition make sure that you offer water free of chlorine and flouride. What are you feeding?

For your diabetic dog a regular exercise schedule is also helpful in moving glucose from the blood and into the muscles which will reduce the blood glucose. It is important that you monitor the blood or glucose levels so that you will know if you need to talk to your veterinarian about adjusting the insulin dose.

As for the allergies, you may find that they lessen as the liver improves. If they still need to be addressed later you could add in DERMA-IONX.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
