Good evening Dr Wilson, I am very interested in your product. I have a 10 year old maltese. 5 years ago she had inserted a metal joint in a knee & 2 screws (R hind). Excellent outcome. 3.5 years ago extremely aggressive cancerous lump removed (L hind). Excellent outcome, no chemo due to her recovery. Otherwise extremely healthy. She's under excellent care of the vets of Sydney University. She is also overweight. However, she's starting to slow down. Her legs became very week about a year ago. After extensive research she's been taking Synflex (glucosamine) that I purchase direct from USA (I'm in Australia). This product has helped her enormously. She takes it everyday. Now, my questions; can my dog consume Synflex as well as your product? Is your product to be consumed continuously or for a period of time only? Can dogs overdose on your product? Can you please also indicate the dosage. Paige is approx. 11-12kg. Thank you very much in advance & look forward to your reply. Kind regards, Grace

Dear Grace,

You may use ARTHRO-IONX along with other medications or supplements so it is OK to use with Synflex. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. Initially I like to split the dose and give half of the dose with breakfast and the other half with supper. Since Paige is small I would give 10 drops twice daily. With improvement then I would give the whole dose once a day for a while. Later you may find that you can decrease the amount or the frequency of administration. Perhaps you might only need to give it a few times a week. I would also add in probiotics and Omega 3,6,9 to improve digestion and reduce inflammation. To nourish the nerves that serve the hindquarters I use a choline/ B vitamin supplement called Geri-Form. This could help with strength.

I would also recommend consulting with a veterinary chiropractor. Proper alignment helps the limbs to function better. Please let us know how you do.

Best wishes,
