My dog has been on Arthro-IonX for her Arthritis it has helped her alot. I use a syringe and shoot it in her mouth every night. Is there a chance that this liquid could eventually discolor a tooth? The reason i am asking is she went to the vet for her shots and one of her canine teeth the end is starting to discolor. They tell us she has a bad tooth and that it will be 458.00 to pull the tooth.

Dear Wendy,

The solution will not discolor teeth. A tooth will become discolored if it has had a trauma. It is like a bruise which does not go away. If this is what happened the tooth is functional and is left in place. You might want to get a second opinion. Generally country vet offices are less expensive than city ones. You might want to price shop since prices vary greatly between different offices.
