Dear Darlene,

It is hard to answer what effect someone will see because there are so many factors related to diabetes such as how long it has been going on and how severe it is. Sometimes there are other disease processes going on concurrently that will affect the outcome. From the positive feedback we have received it can range from better regulation to sometimes reducing the insulin dosage to the point where it is not needed any more. It is important that you monitor the blood glucose levels so that you can discuss with your veterinarian how to adjust the dosage accordingly. Some owners have reported that it took over a year. Even if there is no reduction in insulin dosage, I am still pleased if blood glucose levels are well controlled so that it minimizes consequences of diabetes such as damage to the eyes and kidneys.

In addition to Dia-IonX it is important to follow the healthy lifestyle factors of moderate exercise, purified water to drink, digestive enzymes with meals, probiotics, and a fish oil supplement. Together with Dia-IonX there is a synergistic effect.

Please let us know about your progress and if you have any further questions.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
