My 11 year Tenterfield Terrier was diagnosed with diabetes two weeks after her mother passed away. I have to inject her with insulin twice a day. Last week she went blind basically over night. Is there any way her cataracts can be reversed by surgery? She eats natural food…

Dear Robyne,

It will be important to get the diabetes regulated before anyone would want to do surgery. Dia-IonX might help you in that goal. You might also see an ophthalmologist to have the eyes evaluated. I have used a product called Ocluvet to help prevent or minimize cataract formation. Your doctors may know if you have a similar product in your area. Let us know how you do.

Best wishes,
