Dear Clifford,

In the early stages veterinarians will treat the infection with antibiotics. When it is already advanced it is controversial as to whether antibiotics should be given because it may delay resolution. At that stage the veterinarian may lance the abscesses which will hasten recovery. If one wants to use homeopathics I would choose Derma-IonX to stimulate the immune system and aid healing.
