My cat is always scratching but does not have fleas. Could it be dry skin or an allergy? Any suggestions or home remedies?

Dear Judy,

There are many causes for skin problems. It could be dry skin or allergies. You might want to look at some of the Vetionx products to help the skin. DERMA-IONX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation, promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. Together with DERMA-IONX it produces a synergistic effect. You may also spray DERMA-IONX on any itchy areas. I would also suggest that you give only filtered water for drinking if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while. What kind of food do you feed? Diet can contribute to dry skin. The type of protein can influence it.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or to give us updates so we can help guide you.

Best wishes,
