I have been using the Arthro-Ionx for 3 weeks now on my 14 yr old cat. From x-rays taken 3 days ago, he has arthritis in his left and right hip joints, his tail joint connecting to the hip, and in his right knee. From all the positive reviews I was hoping to see him in less pain and limping less after 3 weeks, but I really am not seeing improvement. Should I have used the stronger Promaxol first, then the Arthro-Ionx? My other challenge with him is poor digestion, not passing hair balls. He, also 3 days ago, just had a second enema because his colon was impacted, full of unpassed hair. He is a fussy baby and never has eaten hairball or dental treats for me. He is intermittant with constipation or diarhea, and I noticed he belches more afte eating. Would your H2O-Ionx product help him? Thank you for your assistance. Ann

Dear Ann,

I like to start with PROMAXOL first; if you are not splitting the dose for ARTHRO-IONX, try giving half at breakfast and half at supper. If this doesn't get the pain under control then try the PROMAXOL twice daily. I would also give probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. This will aid digestion, the colon, and the joints. What kind of food do you give? I would also add 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil to the food once daily. If this is tolerated well, and there is still a problem with constipation then give it twice daily. If more support is needed then I would give H2O-IONX, too. Please let us know how this works for you.
