Hello Dr. Char, I have a wonderful scottish terrier her name is Bonnie she is about 11 years old. With in the last month she has started to have dry heaves usually in the am hours sometimes more frequently. Her appetite is very low and has shown some weight loss. I have her on the H2o-Ionix for the last 4 to five days. She is still having dry heaves. I am greatly conerned. Please advise as I am reluctant to take her to a conventional vet. I live in Lansing Michigan.

Dear Shawn,

I think you should take a urine sample in to have it checked and perhaps go in to have blood work done. If you have a diagnosis you can select a holistic, conventional, or combination therapy. If you don't mind travelling there is a clinic in Flint that has a very practical approach and according to one of my clients seems to run only the tests that make a difference.

You might also also give some probiotics to help the digestive tract if food is staying down.

Please keep me updated so I can help you with some options.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
