One of my dogs is quite arthritic. She's 13 and a couple of years ago had some illness that the vets could never quite diagnose but it consisted of pancreatitis, uveitis, and other inflammation throughout the body. She was in ICU for about a week but pulled through. After going through that, the specialists indicated that we should take her off Rimadyl. So, she's on Gabapentin, Adequate, a product called Body Sore and Vitamin E. She also gets cold laser surgery and acupuncture every 3 weeks. Her arthritis is mostly in one of her front elbows. Is there any risk in trying Arthro-IonX? Thanks.

Dear Judy,

I would try PROMAXOL to help with the discomfort. It helps to decrease pain, inflammation, and stiffness and stimulate healing. Initially I would give a half dose with breakfast and again at supper. After improvement is seen you can decrease to a whole dose once daily. For longer term management you can switch to ARTHRO-IONX. However you can just start with ATHRO-IONX if you prefer. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving nutritional supplements to accompany the homeopathic. I would also use PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation and strengthen the body. What type of food and water are you giving? Has your acupuncturist made any recommendations? Has your acupuncturist evaluated your dog's spinal alignment?

Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,
