Health Questions & Answers

I have a 15 year old Siberian Husky who had adrenal gland surgery 11 months ago; developed arthritis in neck & lower back & now weakness in hind quarters. 1) I gave Rimedyl for 3 mo; helped, but liver values elevate - stopped 12/2014 2) Tied turmeric & increased AllefG-3 Omega sup; gave loose goopy stool 3) Tramadol wiped her out 4) started Gebepentin 100mg, 1/day for 5 days -- made her lethargic & unstable. 6) Liver values 6 days ago: ALT 180; ALKP 535 7) Currently on Ursodol 200mg/day & Denamarin 225mg chewable 1/day; I/D canned food now. Is your product safe for liver, stomach upset, and normal stool? Need your help!! Thank you, Eileen

Dear Eileen,

You may use ARTHRO-IONX or PROMAXOL along with other medications or supplements so it is OK to use with what you are already giving. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. It is safe and will not harm the liver, kidneys, and stomach. Initially I would split the dose and give a half dose of ARTHRO-IONX with breakfast and a half dose with supper. After improvement then you can give the whole dose once a day on one of the meals. Introducing it slowly helps to avoid the chance of softening the stool. OMEGA 3,6,9 is also helpful in reducing pain and inflammation. PROBIOTICS are also beneficial because it helps to improve digestion and utilization of the food and supplements you give. When there is rear end weakness I also give a choline supplement called Geri-Form to aid the nerves.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
