Dear Jane,

Rimadyl is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used primarily for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and acute pain related to surgery or trauma. For those dogs or cats that can't tolerate NSAIDs, another option is our product Promaxol that also offers relief from pain and stimulates healing without the common side effects of NSAIDs. If you have any further questions about it please feel free to contact us again or learn more about it in our website.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
