I have a 1 year old Lhasa Apso. He is a rescue dog and has been in my home for the past 10 days. He is starting to develop aggression towards strangers and has actually nipped at two. Is this a side effect of Rimadyl?? He has been on it for a week now as the vet found a problem with his knees, Would he benefit from Anxietrex. There are times when I have to leave him home for an hour or so by himself. I hate to have to return him to the shelter.

Dear Carolyn,

Rimadyl is difficult for certain breeds of dogs and can cause anxiety and aggressiveness. You might find it interesting to Google Rimadyl side effects. I would suggest that you try ARTHRO-IONX in place of Rimadyl. Initially I like to split the dose of ARTHRO-IONX in half so that you give half with breakfast and half with supper. I also accompany it with PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9. These can help with anxiety and inflammation. I would start with these first; if something else is needed then I would add in ANXIETREX in the water. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
