What is a reverse sneeze? Cause and symptoms of what? My Maltese has it.

Dear Kathy,

In a regular sneeze air is pushed out through the nose. In a reverse sneeze the air is pulled in through the nose. Small and brachycephalic breeds are more often affected. You might try giving probiotics to improve digestion which will aid the sinuses and might lessen the frequency.
