I have a client that we recently diagnosed her dog as diabetic. She has ordered this product and I am requesting some information about it.

Thank you,

Dear Dr. Olson,

Dia-IonX is a complex homeopathic product stabilized in a base of naturally occurring minerals which act as catalysts for enzyme systems in the body. I like this format better than the traditional alcohol based homeopathic preparations. The list of homeopathics in the Dia-IonX formulation include the following remedies at the 10X, 20X, and 30X potencies: Aceticum acidum, Arsenicum album, Bryonia alba, Calcarea carbonica, Iris Versicolor, Kali phosphoricum, Lacticum acidum, Lycopodium clavatum, Natrum phosphoricum, Phosphoricum acidum, Phosphorus, Plumbum metallicum, Uranium nitricum. These homeopathic preparations address many of the common symptoms of diabetes. They cause the body to respond by reducing the intensity of the symptoms. The mineral portion also helps to stimulate and detoxify cells. Thus it is important to monitor blood glucose levels because it might become necessary to adjust the insulin dosage. I stress the importance of working closely with the local veterinarian so that adjustments can be made in a timely manner. I would also hope that the family will follow their veterinarian's dietary recommendations and regular exercise schedule. If it is financially possible, I think it is beneficial to also acquire digestive enzymes and probiotics from their veterinarian. Dia-IonX works well on its own but the combination approach is synergistic.

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us again.
