Health Questions & Answers

My dog has stage 3 degenerative disk disease in the neck area; she is in a lot of pain. I was fixing to put her down this morning when my daughter asked me to contact you all.

What do you think?

Dear Gregory,

You may want to try a holistic approach before making such a permanent decision. I have seen dogs fully recover, but each case is individual. Your response is individual and dependent upon factors not within my control. I would suggest you start with Promaxol and give 4 half doses per day if necessary. In addition, give digestive enzymes with each meal, and probiotics and fish oil daily. Also, check if you can find some Canine Renal Support in your area. It is made by Standard Process and is usually sold by professionals such as chiropractors, doctors, and veterinarians.

Please let me know what food, supplements, treats, and medications your dog is currently taking.

Another important thing to do is to have your dog evaluated by a veterinary chiropractor. If a correction is necessary, this can reduce the pressure on the discs and allow healing to occur more rapidly. I hope we can reduce the pain level to a tolerable point so that still have time to work on healing this condition. The body is designed to heal if we remove the blockages and provide the nutrients to be used for healing. Promaxol or Arthro-IonX help to reduce pain and inflammation, stimulate the enzymes systems in the body to promote healing. Please keep us informed of your progress and we would be happy to help you each step of the way.
