Hello Dr. Char Wilson. I have ordered promaxol for a dog with Chronic arthritis. She can barely walk now. We have been using it for five days in hopes of some small improvement. But we have not seen any yet. My brother hates to see the dog in so much pain and is thinking about putting her to sleep. Dr. Char I understand it takes time for the medicine to work but how long do you think we should give the medicine to work before we decide the medicine is not working? Thank you for any input.

Dear Tabatha,

Veterinarians are not trained in alternative therapies in veterinary school. So all we know when we get out is about drugs and surgery. One does not know the other things exist until one becomes interested in exploring other options. As the dog seen a chiropractor or acupuncturist? I know many dogs that have responded to those therapies that would have been euthanized if not for them.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
