Health Questions & Answers

We have a Lab that has grade 4 cartilage wear on all three bones of the elbow; they also found evidence of a longstanding fragmented medial coronoid process of the ulna. We have done IRAP and I would like to put her on a pain medicine other than Rimadyl and Tramadol. Which of the products Promaxol or Arthro-IonX would you suggest she take? Her limp is better but I want her to be comfortable.

Thank you for your time.

Dear Kathleen,

You could start with Arthro-IonX and if you need more pain relief you could switch over to Promaxol. Arthro-IonX helps to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation. It also stimulates healing because of the oligotherapeutic minerals which help enzyme functions in the body. In addition to the VETiONX product, it is helpful to give digestive enzymes with each meal, probiotics and fish oil daily. Together it is synergistic to produce faster results. Healing takes time so be patient. You need not worry about using it because there are no negative side effects as what may occur with long-term NSAID use such as gastric irritation or liver damage. Please let us know how you progress or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
