According to the description of the product, Defendex only deals with the symptoms of mite and flea infestation. However, when I read the reviews, it sounds like it actually kills the mites/fleas. Is this true or would the mites in particular die anyway within a period of say a month? Should one use it conjunction with other products that do kill fleas and mites?

Thank you.

The insects do not do well with the shampoo, but we are not allowed to make claims. What kind of problem are you dealing with? I use the shampoo to determine if any fleas have gotten on my dogs. If there are any, they are usually stunned and are rinsed off into the drain water. If I do not see anything, it indicates to me I do not have a problem. Looking forward to your response.
