I have 2 ragdoll cats, sisters, both 4 years. The blue point cat, Meeka, gets a UTI approximately 2x a year. I have read it's due to stress but how do I prevent it from occurring?

Dear Jane,

I would give probiotics. It helps with stress and can help reduce the incidence of bladder infections. You would need to use this for a while in order to shift the flora back to normal. Prior antibiotic use can distort the flora. If you have periods of time when you notice more stress you could also give the homeopathic ANXIETREX which contains homeopathic remedies that aid the body in dealing with various types of stress. Since it is liquid it is easy to give by adding 10 drops on the breakfast and supper meals. Please let us know how you do.
