I adopted a rescue doxie/beagle mix. He's about a year old. He's so attached to mostly me. If he doesn't see me he goes crazy - pacing - running around. If he's left alone without me he howls. I feel horrible - I ordered Anxietrex- he's about 17 pounds - how do I give him this when I get the product? I have two cats as well and they all drink out of the same bowl. The cats are 16 years old and are just fine. It's my new dog that has the problem. Help - I love him and I feel bad for him - he was in a kill shelter - part of one of his ears was bitten off. He is such a lover tho

Dear Lisa,

You can add Anxietrex to the food. I would start with a half dose twice daily for a week, then a whole dose once daily for another week, and and then as necessary. If you can take him to a dog class or talk to a trainer so that you can have regular training time with him your dog may begin to feel more secure. Diet can also be an important in how a dog handles stress. I would also give a grain -free diet and treats for at least a month to see if you notice any positive changes.

Best regards,
