I have a 17yo gelding with an advanced ringbone on just one leg, which was caused by him having had surgery to remove a mass cell tumor when he was very young. How much pain relief can i reasonably expect from Arthro-ionx alone? (w/out bute or previcox). He is grade 2-3 lame on most days. Thanks!

I think ARTHRO-IONX could be helpful, but you might need to slowly wean off the NSAIDS as you begin to see improvement. ARTHRO-IONX decreases pain and stimulates healing. Healing takes time. I would also do some acupuncture along with it. Having a veterinary chiropractic consultation could be beneficial as well. Having the spine in proper alignment can lessen the impact on the limbs. Please let us know how you progress.

I would split the dose and give a half dose twice daily. If he has a bad day you can give another half dose at a separate time.
Let's see what response you get after a few weeks and then decide if you need to do something more. I hope you can find someone that does acupuncture.
