My 3 yr old lab has bad case of Valley Fever (probably picked up in Arizona). Treating her with Fluconazole and Doxycycline. She is extremely weak. 3rd eyelid closed both eyes. Wondering how we tell if she is in pain and if there is something we can give her OTC for pain relief that wont negatively interact with meds. feel so helpless. First day on fluconazole. How long until we notice improvement?

Dear Joel,

PROMAXOL helps to decrease pain and inflammation and stimulate healing. You may use it along with other medications or supplements. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving some nutritional supplements to accompany PROMAXOL. The supplements I recommend are probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. Probiotics are very important to take whenever medications that affect the intestinal flora are given. You will need to talk to your veterinarian about the course of the illness.

Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
