My 14 year old pittie is completely immobile in her rear. Over the last 3 years we have tried Rimadyl (worked for 9 months) , then previcox (barely worked for 6 months), Medicam (barely a couple months). She is unable to getup now. Still eats. Still wants to play. She has a wheel chair from eddies wheels to pee and poop. Do you have any suggestions? She weighs 80 lbs.

Dear Jennifer,

PROMAXOL helps to decrease pain, inflammation, and stiffness and stimulate healing. Initially I would give a half dose with breakfast and supper. After improvement is seen you can decrease to a whole dose once daily. For longer term management you can switch to ARTHRO-IONX. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving some nutritional supplements to accompany the homeopathic. To nourish the nerves I would give Geri-Form, a choline/ B vitamin supplement. Other supplements that I would use are probiotics, Omega 3,6,9, MSM, and vitamin C.

What diet do you feed?

I would also suggest an evaluation by a veterinary chiropractor. Good neural function helps wth better movement. Acupuncture can help as well. Looking forward to your reply.

Best wishes,
