Good morning. I have a Golden Retriever therapy dog. She did well in training and during the evaluation. Took her to a children's hospital and prior to our tour I took her outside to tinkle and there was a lot of construction noise. She got spooked and was nervous for the rest of the tour. Now she is normal around my house but as soon as we get in a building like Petsmart or a nursing home she puts her tail between her legs and starts shaking. Would your product Anxietrex help or do you have any suggestions? Ed

Dear Ed,

You could try Anxietrex for your dog. It helps pets deal with various causes of anxiety. I would give a half dose twice daily with breakfast and supper for a few weeks or until you see some improvement. You could also take her to a dog training class so she can get used to lots of stimuli. She would become conditioned to commands and treats and she would improve her focus. When you go to a therapy session, at the first sign of anxiety give a command such as sit and then reward her with a treat. That might interrupt the pattern she is beginning to develop.

Diet can also affect behavior. What do you feed her? Artificial preservatives and colors are good to avoid. I like a non GMO diet. Looking forward to your reply.
