Dear Carol,

Allergies, inflammation, or hormonal problems can cause the skin to become black. Some breeds can have more pigment. You could have a blood sample checked to rule out any developing health problems.

As for your Pomeranian's bad breath, it can actually be due to poor digestion in the stomach and small intestine allowing the bad gases to rise. You might want to try our homeopathic product, H2O-IONX to aid digestion. I would also give Canine probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. What kind of food and treats do you feed your little one? Little dogs can be quite picky. Food can contribute to digestive upset. Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,
