Health Questions & Answers

I have two dogs, and both seem to have the same thing. I have a short hair female that has it but never really lost any hair to speak of. The other one is a border collie and he has lost his hair. The skin is dry and scaly and there are a few bumps that come up. I thought it was their food after reading a story and saw pictures that looked just like it. the food change didn't help. Our regular vet just says it's allergies and gives them a shot and it helps the itching some but does nothing to get rid of it. I'm thinking about trying this medicine you have, but wonder what the problem could be caused by. We adopted the border collie when he was 3 and a half and he had been outside up to that point, now he stays inside with us. I hope you can help us. Thank you

Dear James,

You might want to look at some of our products to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation , promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dogs only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while. What kind of foods have you fed?

Defendex shampoo which is nontoxic washes away debris and soothes the skin. Using these products is a simple and effective way of helping resolve a difficult condition.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
