My 8 month old Chocolate Lab has a case of Dermatitis (my diagnosis). He has red patchy rash like hot spots covering his body. His hair loss is very visible, scratching is limited. I've washed him with Creolin and the red marks seem to go away but return. Could this be due to the sheading of puoop hair? I can send photos if needed.

Dear Kenny,

The irritation is not a part of normal shedding. There could be allergies or a skin infection. You could try DERMA-IONX to reduce the skin irritation as well as PROBIOTICS, and OMEGA 3,6,9. Together they help with the more common causes of those symptoms. You need to make sure you are not dealing with fleas or mites. If you have them they need to removed in order to break the cycle. If something more is needed you should see your veterinarian for a diagnosis. Sometimes antibiotics can help the recovery.

Please keep us updated and we can help guide you.

Best regards,
