Health Questions & Answers

My baby was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when she was about 9 months. I double checked with an orthopedic surgeon and he agreed. She is very active ans only shows signs every once in a while. She does this kind of kick with her hind legs. Besides that, she is very active. Runs, plays, I take her on walks. She loves to swim in the summer. I want to know if I should put her on supplemenets now. I know you want to sell me your product, which I heard helps. But, I really need to know what to do overall. Sheis almost 4 years old. Should I need to worry about this now? She is on a supplement called Dasaquinn. This helps lubricate the joints

Dear Deby,

I would try Promaxol to help healing begin. Promaxol would be a good choice for your dog. It contains the stronger LM potencies. After improvement is seen then you can switch over to Arthro-IonX. In addition it is helpful to give Canine Probiotics with each meal and Omega 3,6,9. Your joint supplement would be good to continue, too. The IONX products aid better utilization of nutritional substances for a synergistic response and faster healing. Also be sure to give sufficient fresh water that is free of chlorine and fluoride. If you can gradually phase into a grain free diet that can be helpful too. The other thing that is sometimes beneficial is to have a certified veterinary chiropractor check for spinal alignment and make any corrections as necessary. Correct alignment will improve mobility.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
