Our mixed med. sized dog has red sores on stomach and thighs, she won't let us get near them. She does spen alot of time in water.

You might want to see your veterinarian in case there is a bacterial infection from having damp skin. You could also try our homeopathic product called Derma-IonX, which helps to reduce inflammation and help heal the skin. I would also use a flea comb to check for fleas or flea debris indicating that there had been fleas there. If you have a suspicion that there could have been I would shampoo with Defendex because it is nontoxic to the pet but will kill fleas and you have a better chance of seeing the fleas in the rinse water.
