Sparky is our 11.5 years old Welsh Terrier. Recently she was diagnosed with non-reversible Kidney & Pancreas damage. She is very lively. One other ailment she has is a Heart murmur. Our vet has advised to put her on a Low Protein Diet and has prescribed 2 medications. One of the medications is Aluminum Dihydroxide to control phosphorous. I don't know what the other is. I have been using Arthro-IonX for our soft coated Wheaton, since 2011. He improved so much and I very rarely have to use the medicine my Vet prescribed, actually I only used it recently after he had a spell of Vertigo. I am hoping you have a product we can give Sparky that won't cause additional problems, via side-effects.

Dear Maddy,

The holistic approach would be to give Dia-IonX to support the liver, pancreas, and kidney; this would make it a good addition to the breakfast and supper meals. Canine Probiotics and digestive enzymes that include Pancreatic enzymes would also help with better digestion and reduces the load on the kidneys. I would also use Omega 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation in the body especially in the gut which will influence the entire body.

Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,
