My dog just got a red spot on his back. Can you tell me what I could use for him? He chews on it once and awhile too.

Dear Diane,

You might want to see your veterinarian for a diagnosis for the cause of the red spot. Generally to address the symptoms you could try our homeopathic product called Derma-IonX. Derma-IonX stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation, promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while.

Defendex shampoo which is nontoxic washes away debris and soothes the skin. Using these products is a simple and effective way of helping resolve many skin conditions.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or you get more information from your veterinarian and would like more holistic suggestions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
