My dog had puppy strangles when about 7 8 weeks old and ever since he's had skin irritation, I've tried everything, natural home remedies and lots of other stuff, it helped for a while (just a few days)and he's back to itching, I need to get him some relief, Is there a guarantee ? It is rather expensive. and do you recommend a shampoo?

Dear Sunny,

You might want to look at some of our products to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation , promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics, vitamin C, and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while.

Defendex shampoo which is nontoxic washes away debris and soothes the skin. I would start with this and if necessary there is more that you can do if it tends to mildly linger.

Please let us know how you do. Following is the return policy listed online.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
