Hello - I have a 5 year old chihuahua that lately has been suffering from excessive scratching. I took her to the vet and she has been on medicine which works but the minute the medicine finishes she goes back to scratching. She is free of any insects and is on Revolution (monthly). She has been scratching so much that she is developing pimple like bumps on her lower back area right above her tail area. She weighs 10 lbs. I';D like to try the Derma-IonX, but the bottle you have is for 30 lbs pet. What should I do?

Dear Giovanna,

You can use Derma-IonX for small pets. It is liquid and easy to dose. For pets weighing 10 pounds I use about 10 drops twice daily on the food.

You might want to look at some of our other products too, to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation, promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
