Hello, we have been giving our diabetic cat the dia-ionx for the past year or so and he has responded so well that we have never had to start him on insulin. Now that we can't get it, our cat is losing strength in his hind legs (again) and doesn't want to eat much. In the past couple of days he has been falling over and can barely walk. He also urinated on my lap last night while sleeping, and didn't seem to notice that he was even doing it. I'm very concerned and will probably have to take him to the vet but can't afford to keep doing that and giving him insulin, so that is why I searched for another remedy that I could afford (the dia-ionx). We are also giving him the UTI-aid and that seems to help too. We are feeding him the Fancy Feast can food (classic recipe) as I read on some website instead of the Iams dry food I was giving him. I know he'll be ok when he can get the dia-ionx again (hopefully soon), but I'm worried he might not make it to that time! Is there anything else I can do until that med becomes available again?
