Dear Diane,

Your diet is good. I would try to feed cooling proteins according to Chinese food therapy especially during the warmer months. Cooling proteins are fish and turkey. Beef is neutral. Chicken, lamb, and venison are warming. The skin is probably warm and so you don't want to add a lot of extra heat thru the diet. The water you give should be filtered if it contains chlorine.

Also have a fecal sample checked to rule out parasites if it has not been done recently.

Please keep us updated so we can help guide you.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
