Health Questions & Answers

Hi, my cat is 14, and is now walking with a limp. I know he has arthritis in his hips, but that doesn't seem to be bothering him. I felt his right "elbow" and it seems inflammed. I purchased Cosequin for cats and have administered the first pill today. After research, it seems like it is arthritis due to the swelling on that joint. What do you think? Arthritis? Thanks for your time.

To diagnose arthritis you would need to have an x-ray done. There are other reasons for limping besides arthritis. If you haven't had a physical done recently, you might want to do that. You might also want to consider Arthro-IonX which can offer relief more quickly if the limping is due to arthritis or musculoskeletal inflammation. It can be used along with other supplements and medications. Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.
