My 10 year old orange tabby recently started licking incessantly and ultimately results in a rapid seizure like affect for 10-15 seconds. The licking goes on all day and night and the prolonged periods happen 3-4 times per day, almost like the itch or skin problem is to much to bare.

Dear Bill,

Have you taken your cat to your veterinarian for an exam and have you had blood work and a fecal exam done? Possibilities for this behavior could be liver disease, parasites, or allergies. Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
