Health Questions & Answers

My 16 yr old cat is healthy. But my vet cannot determine why she lost 2 1/2 pounds within a year. Normally 10 pounds now 7.5. X-rays were taken and nothing looks wrong. She is constantly complaining. She has never had a normal meow, but it is worse now and has added a loud moaning sound. Will this product help with these symptoms?

I would try Promaxol since she is complaining. In addition I would sprinkle some digestive enzymes on her food such as Prozyme, give probiotics or yogurt, and fish oil. Hopefully she will cooperate with you.

You might try to get her to eat more calorie dense foods. Cats usually like higher fat foods. How are her teeth? Sometimes softer foods work better for older cats. Try to give her only filtered water for drinking.

Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
Dr. Char
